The Explore Overlander Light attaches directly to the frame of the Explore Glazing gullwing window for the Land Rover Defender. It is supplied as a DIY kit and requires no modifications to the bodywork. The Overlander Light is also compatible with the Explore Glazing sliding window for the Defender.

• CNC-cut 5 mm aluminium
• Black powder-coated finish (RAL 9005)
• Supplied as a complete DIY kit
• Components include:
  – Aluminium plate
  – Black-coated zinc hinges with stainless steel elements
  – Locking plungers with stainless steel closing brackets
  – Mounting straps with stainless steel hooks
• Optional: L-track cargo rails (airline rails)
• Optional: Explore Overlander Pack – includes butterfly fittings and star knobs for securing gear to L-track rails, such as sand ladders, traction boards (e.g. MaxTrax MK2) or tools

This product is designed specifically for the following Explore Glazing window:

Gullwing window glass

Gullwing window aluminium

Gullwing window with integrated sliding window

Sliding window

It is not compatible with OEM windows or gullwing/sliding windows from other brands.

Installation

This product is supplied as a do-it-yourself package. A mounting set is available and typically included with your quote. It consists of:
– 4.2 mm drill bit
– 5.0 mm drill bit
– M5 tap
– Tamper-resistant Torx bit

Installation should be carried out carefully. Improper assembly can result in damage or injury. If you lack technical experience or are unfamiliar with the instructions, we recommend having the product installed by a qualified professional.
