Land Rover Defender - Sliding window

This sliding window is a direct replacement for the original side window of the Land Rover Defender and requires no modifications to the bodywork. The frame follows the bodyline exactly and is finished in black powder-coated aluminium (RAL 9005). The window features a snap-lock system that allows adjustable positioning – ideal for controlled airflow during driving. The mechanism includes integrated drainage to prevent dirt buildup in the track.

  • Radius (from MY2002): 2 × 70 mm (bottom), 2 × 50 mm (top)
  • Note: dimensions refer to the internal fitting size. The total outer dimension is 15 mm larger on all sides.

    – Dark grey – 80% tinted (20% light transmission)
    – Parsol green – 43% tinted (57% light transmission)

Installation

  • Mounts using M4×16 stainless steel screws and adhesive sealant
  • No modifications to the bodywork required
  • A mounting set is available and typically offered with your quote. The set includes:
    – 4.2 mm drill bit
    – Dowsil 791 sealant
    – Brush and wipe
  • Optional: black-coated screws available

Installation must be carried out with care. Incorrect installation may lead to water ingress or mechanical issues. Installation videos are available on the Explore Glazing YouTube channel.

Hello Explore Glazing, After years of restoring, the time had come this summer. Our Land Cruiser HJ61 Build is Road ready, and we were able to test our setup for the first time. Of course your Gullwings were there...we had just one opinion…of all the upgrades our vehicle has received, your windows are among our favorites. They give us quick and easy access to our luggage compartment. At the same time, we've come to appreciate the Overland Package. There's always a place to park things, which is unbeatable given the limited options in a camping situation. Cannot recommend this company enough. From the quality of the product to the documentation, YouTube installation videos and. support I would rate everything 5/5. When you purchase a product they supply you with everything required to install it. All you need to supply is a drill and whatever tools you need to remove your old window. Can't think of any other company that will even supply you with an M5 tab and a rubber scraper to remove old masting after installation.
