Jeep Wrangler JK & JL Unlimited - sliding window

Specifically developed for the 5-door Jeep Wrangler JKU and JLU, this sliding window replaces the factory glass without modification to the bodywork. The unit is mounted using MS Screenbonder – a TÜV-certified polymer adhesive – and fits precisely into the OEM window opening.

The glass is 4 mm thick, tempered for safety, and dark-tinted (LT20%) for privacy and reduced solar gain. The aluminium frame includes an integrated drain system, a smooth-action track and a secure snap-lock handle. The entire assembly is powder-coated in matte black (RAL 9005).

Glass dimensions differ by generation. We offer window versions for:

  • Jeep Wrangler JKU (5-door) – 1st Edition
  • Jeep Wrangler JKU (5-door) – 2nd Edition
  • Jeep Wrangler JLU (5-door)

These accessories are custom-designed for Explore Glazing sliding windows only. Not compatible with original glass or third-party products.

Installation

The window is bonded directly into the original aperture using MS Screenbonder (TÜV-certified polymer adhesive).
The surface must be clean, level and free of contamination.

The adhesive is not included by default but is always offered in your quote.

Hello Explore Glazing, After years of restoring, the time had come this summer. Our Land Cruiser HJ61 Build is Road ready, and we were able to test our setup for the first time. Of course your Gullwings were there...we had just one opinion…of all the upgrades our vehicle has received, your windows are among our favorites. They give us quick and easy access to our luggage compartment. At the same time, we've come to appreciate the Overland Package. There's always a place to park things, which is unbeatable given the limited options in a camping situation. I’ve been running the Jimny Gullwing for a few years now and I’m still delighted with the fit and finish. I live near the coast with salty air that often takes its toll on metals. This Gullwing still looks like new, operates flawlessly. I opted for the drop table additional accessory and it’s something I use even more than the Gullwing window. At camp it makes for a super useful shelf and on the go it’s the perfect platform for a side-of-the-road coffee. 5* product and customer service to match. Cheers from the UK

I recently purchased a 2011 G550 with the gull wing windows and window guards installed. (There are photos of the vehicle on the website) I was in need of replacement spring latches as the terrible salt used on Montana roads had corroded the existing latches. I emailed Explore Glazing for help. My request was answered by Anja Seijn. She was very helpful and arranged getting the needed parts to me in Montana. The parts arrived yesterday via FedEx. My experience dealing with Explore Glazing was very positive. I am confident that should I have the need for parts or accessories in the future, Explore Glazing will be my first choice.
