The Explore Overlander Light is an extra option on the Explore Glazing expedition window (gull wing), but can also be mounted on the Explore Glazing sliding window.

It is a unique combination of a folding table and window protection with the possibility to attach expedition equipment to your car.

The Explore Overlander Light only fits on the Explore Glazing windows. The Overlander's hinges and locks are fully mounted on the window. In this way, the bodywork is not damaged by mounting holes, which can cause untreatable rust to form in the cavities of the bodywork.

The Explore Overlander Light lies within the dimensions of the Explore Glazing window, so that it forms one whole and does not disturb the characteristic line of your car.

Product features
The Explore Overlander Light is made of a 5 mm aluminum plate and is finished with the same high-quality industrial black powder coating (RAL 9005) as the other windows of Explore Glazing.

The removable, adjustable straps with stainless steel hooks allow you to open the Explore Overlander at any angle or, for maximum access to your car, fold it down completely.

With a mounting height of only 16 mm on the window, the Overlander Light offers additional options for mounting your equipment without obstructing the view to the rear.

The Explore Overlander Light is equipped with various attachment points for lashing straps and airline rails (L-track).

The Overlander Light has a hole pattern with the same design as the Explore Glazing window guards, which gives it a friendly appearance and ensures sufficient daylight in your car.

The Explore Overlander can be further expanded with:

• Airline rails, own extrusion profile and provided with the same industrial powder coating as our other products (RAL 9005)

Installation

This product is offered as a do-it-yourself package and consists of the following parts:

• Aluminium plate
• Hinges, zinc die-casting, black coated, with stainless steel parts
• Indexing plungers (locks), zinc die-casting, black-coated, with stainless steel parts and stainless steel closing brackets
• Mounting straps with stainless steel hooks

You need a mounting set, which consists of:

• drill 4.2
• drill 5.0
• tap M5
• torx bit (tamper-resistant)

The mounting set is offered as standard with your quotation request.

It is important that the Explore Glazing products are assembled correctly and safely. Careless assembly can lead to accidents and serious damage and / or injury to you or others. If you have no technical experience or are not familiar with the general assembly instructions, we recommend that you have our products assembled by a professional company.
