Sliding window - front side left hand side

The Volkswagen T3 underwent a modification regarding the sliding doors and side windows. Starting from the 1985 model year, the T3's sliding doors were modified, replacing the old model with larger side windows with a new model featuring smaller side windows. This modification was implemented as part of the overall facelift of the T3 series.

Please note that this information is specifically related to the right-side sliding windows. The left-side windows have never been altered and retain their original size.

Our sliding windows feature a specially engineered sliding system, preventing dirt buildup in the slide channel. With over 20 years of expertise in the coachbuilding industry, we guarantee a long-lasting, low-maintenance solution for your vehicle.

Equipped with a user-friendly locking mechanism, the Explore Glazing sliding window offers effortless operation and adjustable positions. The glass edges are polished for optimal performance and safety.

Rest assured that our sliding windows meet stringent safety standards, featuring 4 mm toughened safety glass certified by ECE R-43 and DOT, available in privacy grey with a light transmission of 20% (tinted 80%).

The sliding windows can be enhanced with a window guard.

Please note: this sliding window for the front left side window is not compatible with the sliding door on the right side, making this variant exclusively available for the left side.

The quality of these products is excellent. I have fitted four of their gull-wing windows. However, when fitting to the 78 Series Land Cruiser you have to make a key decision about how much to straighten the body work (window pillar) before installing the windows (the new windows are flat but the OEM bodywork is curved). They must be installed with no bending (see Photo 1). This means you either leave the body work curved and adjust the length and tension of the M4 bolts to ensure that there is no bending in the finished result, or you fully straighten the body work (see Photo 2). If the latter then take extreme care as the OEM paint will crack from the movement and you will definitely need to silicone the outside gap when finished.

Quoted for 2 Defender 110 windows(a gull wing and half drop down), overland drop down guard, aircraft rails and table and security screen. Purchased all after quick customer support and answering of specific questions and now (with basic experience) have removed and fitted all the upgrades to my Defender. Highest of quality with ALL the necessary specialised tools included eg. high vibration silicone and even the tapping drill. I cant recommend them enough!
