This window guard is specifically designed for the Explore Glazing half-drop window on the swing-out tail door of the Mercedes G-Class. The guard follows the exact contour of the window frame and is mounted directly on the aluminium window profile, leaving the bodywork untouched.

Made from 3 mm aluminium, it is finished with the same industrial matte black powder coating (RAL 9005) as the window itself. The mounting system ensures a tight fit that does not interfere with the opening or closing of the window.

It protects the glass against impact and break-in attempts, without compromising the function or appearance of the tail door. 

Compatibility

• Fits exclusively on the Explore Glazing half-drop window (swing-out tail door)
• Compatible with Mercedes G-Class W460 / W461 / W463 (LWB and SWB)
• Not compatible with OEM tail door glass or products from other manufacturers

Installation

Mounting screws (M5x12 tamper-resistant Torx), cover caps and washers are included.

DIY mounting kit for direct attachment to Explore Glazing windows.

Installation requires:

• Ø 4.2 mm drill
• Ø 5.0 mm drill
• M5 thread tap
• Tamper-resistant Torx bit

The mounting kit is not included by default, but is always offered in your quote.
