Land Rover Discovery II - gullwing window - glass
The glass gullwing window for the Land Rover Discovery II is designed for fast and secure access to the loading area.
It matches the exact dimensions of the original side windows and can be installed without any modifications to the vehicle bodywork.
The construction consists of a 5 mm tempered safety glass panel, mounted in a robust aluminium frame with two gas springs and two lockable compression latches for a secure and weatherproof seal.
The aluminium frame is finished with a durable matte black industrial powder coating (RAL 9005), offering excellent resistance against weathering and UV exposure.
The gullwing window is delivered fully pre-assembled and ready for installation.
Available for left-hand and right-hand side. Windows are side-specific and not interchangeable.
Two glass versions are available:
- Parsol green (light transmission 57%, tinted 43%)
- Privacy grey (light transmission 20%, tinted 80%)
The tempered safety glass is certified according to ECE 43R and DOT standards.

Accessories are only compatible with Explore Glazing gullwing windows. They do not fit the original side window or products from other manufacturers.
Installation
The gullwing window is installed by bonding it directly into the original bodywork aperture using a high-quality polymer adhesive.
The dimensions match the factory side window precisely, allowing a clean and reversible installation without modifications to the vehicle structure.
Installation requires:
- Professional-grade polymer adhesive (MS Screenbonder TÜV certified)
- Standard workshop tools
An installation video and detailed manual are available to support correct and safe assembly.
Careful installation is essential to ensure safety and functionality.
If you are not experienced with automotive window fitting, professional installation is recommended.
