Land Rover Defender - Quarter window glass

Explore Glazing offers a unique solution for Land Rover Defender quarter windows. Unlike traditional rubber-mounted quarter windows that can be susceptible to break-ins, Explore Glazing has developed a fixed quarter window option.

Our fixed quarter windows are crafted using the same extrusion profiles as the gullwing, sliding, and half-drop windows for Land Rover Defender. They are carefully curved and equipped with 4 mm tempered safety glass, certified E43R and DOT. This ensures durability and enhanced security for your vehicle.

Available in two stylish options, dark grey LT20% (80% tinted) and the original Land Rover color parsol green LT57% (43% tinted), our quarter windows seamlessly blend with the aesthetic of your Land Rover Defender.

The quarter windows can be expanded with a window guard on the inside (internal) of on the outside (external). The quarter window is also available in a full aluminum version, as well as in a gullwing version. View the products in the product overview of the Land Rover Defender.

 

Installation

General

  • The dimensions of the window fully correspond to the original window.
  • No adjustments to the bodywork are necessary, which means that the original window can easily be replaced.
  • Easy and quick to assemble.

The quarter window is mounted with M4*16 stainless steel mounting screws and sealed with adhesive.

For an additional charge, the stainless steel mounting screws can be supplied black powder coated. This option will be offered to you as standard.

A mounting set will be offered with your request and consists of:

  • drill 4.2 mm
  • cartridge of Dowsil 791 Silicone Weatherproofing
  • brush
  • rubber to remove the excess sealant

Hello Explore Glazing, After years of restoring, the time had come this summer. Our Land Cruiser HJ61 Build is Road ready, and we were able to test our setup for the first time. Of course your Gullwings were there...we had just one opinion…of all the upgrades our vehicle has received, your windows are among our favorites. They give us quick and easy access to our luggage compartment. At the same time, we've come to appreciate the Overland Package. There's always a place to park things, which is unbeatable given the limited options in a camping situation. I’ve been running the Jimny Gullwing for a few years now and I’m still delighted with the fit and finish. I live near the coast with salty air that often takes its toll on metals. This Gullwing still looks like new, operates flawlessly. I opted for the drop table additional accessory and it’s something I use even more than the Gullwing window. At camp it makes for a super useful shelf and on the go it’s the perfect platform for a side-of-the-road coffee. 5* product and customer service to match. Cheers from the UK

I recently purchased a 2011 G550 with the gull wing windows and window guards installed. (There are photos of the vehicle on the website) I was in need of replacement spring latches as the terrible salt used on Montana roads had corroded the existing latches. I emailed Explore Glazing for help. My request was answered by Anja Seijn. She was very helpful and arranged getting the needed parts to me in Montana. The parts arrived yesterday via FedEx. My experience dealing with Explore Glazing was very positive. I am confident that should I have the need for parts or accessories in the future, Explore Glazing will be my first choice.
